A George V sterling silver and enamel covered box, maker's mark Omar Ramsden & Alwyn Charles Ellison Carr, London 1917, the body of compressed ovoid form decorated with a continuous band of chased rosette and fleur de lys medallions united by thorn branches, the stepped cover having a crenellated rim below a central red, mauve and blue enamel medallion showing a cathedral in a village setting, within a rope twist border, stamped Omar Ramsden Et Alwyn Carr Me Fecit, 388 grs. total weight, 11 cm diameter.
