A, Japanese Satsuma vase and cover Meiji period of tapering baluster form, the shoulders decorated with a continuous band of gilt peony and trellis, the body depicting two large figural narrative groups within gilded borders, separated by geometric enamelled panels, surmounted by a cover with conforming decoration and an inner lid, together with a pierced rosewood stand.
