A Victorian sterling silver Cake Basket Maker's mark possibly Roberts and Hall, Sheffield 1853 The body of shallow ovoid form embellished with foliate pierced panels to the interior interspersed with engraved rose vignettes above a central foliate cartouche, rising to a pierced and beaded serpentine rim moulded with shell and husk flower decoration and a pierced swing handle terminating in fish mask heads, raised on a shaped foot, 1026 grs. total weight of silver, 37 cm wide.
