A French ceramic vase in a gilt brass mount. Later 19th century. The bulbous vase with a tall broad cylindrical neck, decorated with scrolling vegetal motifs and flower in pale underglaze grey thickly enamelled with puce, marbled green and gold colours, flanked by fantastic winged lions with insect bodies and set in a pierced mount, with Chinese dragon handles and tripod feet. Height 44 cm
