A Pre Federation Australian NSW Volunteer Artillery Tunic, Master Gunner (1885-1901) Tunic of the NSW Volunteer Artillery. The volunteers wore white braid and silver buttons on their tunics while the permanent artillery wore gold. Two hundred and five artillerymen volunteered for service in the Sudan in 1885.
