A Victorian mahogany pedestal desk, retailed by James Shoolbred & Co., London (stamped and labelled), 1880s, the rectangular top with original gilt-tooled leather writing surface above three frieze drawers and a pair of pedestals, each with three drawers, the front edges finely moulded and the drawers having solid mahogany fronts and cedar linings throughout. Height 76 cm. Width 137 cm. Depth 76 cm.
