A good Mason's Ironstone 'Japan' patterned plate, 1830-48 period, pattern 27899, the flute edged plate in a pastel palette of apple green, pink and lemon with peach and iron red highlights, centred with an oriental floral design, the border with alternative lemon, pink and black with gilt compartments, each floral decorated; backstamp and pattern number underside, diameter 26 cm.
