An impressive vintage Congolese ivory bust, early to mid 20th century, Zaire, the traditional carved portrait bust of a woman with coiffed hair and striking stylised features including heavily lidded eyes and full lips, carved from a single piece of ivory with engine turning and age fissures, and mounted upon a circular timber base.
