A fine sterling silver crested hot water urn, 1784 London, with maker's mark for John Robins, of neoclassical vase form with a slender waisted dome cover with vase finial, elegant reeded loop arms with acanthus joins and raised on a tapering pedestal to a squared base and ball feet, a decorative reeded spout and ivory spigot, the body with bright cut borders, beading, swags and a lion sejant erect armorial; hallmarked.
