A Bohemian overlaid cranberry glass comport, 19th century. Persian inspired, the chalice form comport with eight mihrab shaped petals to the rim above arched white glass panels alternating diamond forms with handpainted floral bouquets, raised on a conical pedestal to a broad foot, decorated throughout with fine gilded tendrils and foliage. Height 18.5 cm. Diameter 16.5 cm
