A fine pair of Victorian sterling silver classical form wine jugs with coiled snake finials and contemporary coats of arms by Stephen Smith & William Nicholson, London 1858/9. 30 cm high, 1,870 grams total weight. The Arms are for Harris of Ratcliffe, Co. Leicester, for John Dove Harris b. 1809, Liberal politician in the House of Commons, between 1857-74
