A 19th century Australian sterling silver trophy cup, inscribed 'National Agricultural Society, the Presidents cup for the best Draught Mare, 1873', elaborate repousse faunal decoration, unmarked, 21 cm high, 306gms, assayed as 925 silver. Provenance: Awarded to the honourable William McCulloch (1832-1909) prominent land holder, pastoralist later a member of parliament, hence by descent inherited by current owner
