A Ceremonial Dagger, Karo Batak, North Sumatra, Indonesia, (early twentieth century), carved wood, steel, bronze and leather, 53.6 cm. Provenance: Saribou Doloq, North Sumatra, A finely carved with a Singha on the handle, 2 larger and 8 smaller standing figures on the top of the scabbard. A high ranking officers sword used ceremonially before going into battle.
