A 500lb Bomb tail spinner. This 500lb bomb spinner, attached to its bomb, was dropped from a B24 Liberator at the Corunna Downs airfield during World War II after returning from a bombing mission to the islands north of Australia and quite possibly, even Borneo. the bomb failed to explode a loose fin on the spinner bares truth to the impact with the ground. This spinner was presented to Jack Sue as a reminder of the days when heavy bombs rained upon Sandakan in British north Borneo 1945. Height 85 cm
