Impressive French porcelain coffre (trinket box) c. 1773-1787 the shaped box with hinged cover depicting figures in garden landscape and signed 'A. Vegeon', decorated in painted enamel with gilt highlights on cobalt ground, with ormolu mounts, marked 'Chateau d'Amboise', 'S', two arrows, 'France'. Height 13.5 cm. Width 33.5 cm. Provenance: Made by Souroux or Les Trois Levrettes Porcelain Manufactory, located Rue de la Roquette, Faubourg Saint Antoine, Paris, specially commissioned for the Chateau d'Amboise
