1861 Supreme court of Victoria. Document with seal relating to W. J. T. Clarke & his wife Eliza. Believed to be drawn up to prevent her from gaining a large part of his estate. William John Turner Clarke Rivalled Sir Sidney Kidman for his vigorous acquisition of prime farming land. he died in 1874 leaving an estate of 2.5 million pounds. he spent some time in Tasmania and bequeathed his second son 'Quorn Hall' in Tasmania. Clarke is Listed as no. 4 of Historys Richest Australians.
