A fine Victorian sterling silver wine ewer, 1875 London, with maker's marks for Frederick Elkington, of elegant neoclassical styling, the tapering ovoid ewer with a pedestal foot and a long neck with a shallow cup form pourer and a recessed lid, decorated with engraved and bright cut anthemion patterns and borders; hallmarked to neck, lid and with Elkington London retailer's mark underside, silver weight 627gr.
