An exceptional signed Japanese ivory okimono, Meiji period (1868-1912), finely carved, engraved and inked, depicting a traditionally attired seated man at rest, with a pipe in his right hand and flanked by baskets of peaches, a double gourd and a stacked lunchbox; signed to a red tablet underside and upon a custom made timber display stand.
