A pair of 'famille-rose' 'dragon and phoenix' bottle vases marks of Guangxu each of squat globular form surmounted by a tall cylindrical neck, decorated with a dragon pursuing a flaming pearl and a phoenix in flight among cloud scrolls, above a band of waves and rocks, the neck with four bats below a cloud collar border, the base inscribed with a six-character mark in iron-red (2) 32.5 cm high
