A Chinese yixing tea pot attributed to Hu Yaoting, Two Yaoting impressed marks 17 cm high. Provenance: NSW private collection, purchased in 1996 in Hong Kong Exhibitions and Publications: 'Innovation and Continuity: 20th Century Chinese Ceramics', Asian Arts Institute of Australia, Sydney: 2012, Exhibition Number 19, Page 22 Note: Hu Yaoting was born during the late Qing dynasty, and active during the Republic period. He was famous for square shaped tea pots, a few of which can now be found in famed collections such as the Wang Yiyu collection in Nanjing, the Nanjing Museum, and the K.S. Lo Collection in the Flagstaff House Museum of Tea Ware in Hong Kong. 1996 1980 19 22
