A late 19th century King Tawhiao decorated walking stick, the handle carved as a three dimensional bust of the second Maori king, leader of the Waikato tribes and a religious visionary Tawhiao, fine carved detail including moko, the plain tapered shaft and handle all from the one piece of wood, good original old dark patina. Length 89 cm including the rubber tipped end.
