A French. 950 silver bachelor teaset in the Aesthetic manner, circa 1880s, with Minerva 1 mark, rubbed standard to some pieces, and maker's marks for Jean Francois Veyrat, the delightful setting comprising a teapot, a small jug, a covered sugar bowl and a tray, all decorated with etched designs upon a matte ground with figural and floral japonaiserie, the hexagonal tray with faux bamboo edging and handles; all pieces hallmarked. Total weight 630gr tray length 32 cm. Width 21 cm
