A Victorian Sheffield plate vegetable tureen, 19th century, a substantial shaped rectangular tureen well cast in the rococo revival manner, having a deep warming base, a fitted shallow dish and domed lid with a removable foliate form handle, bearing a fleur-de-lys crest within a garland to the dome and marked 'Best Sheffield heavy silver plating' underside.
