A rare kingfisher-feather and gilt-silver hairpin, late Qing Dynasty, 19th/20th century, in the form of a pair of phoenix, with six tiny coral and pearl tassels. 13 cm long, 6 cm wide. Provenance: Gary Major Douglas, Houston, Texas, author and speaker with eccentric taste who collected for over 50 years.
