A fine and rare Irish 'Kilarney' marquetry inlaid Yew wood davenport richly inlaid to the top, sides and internally, with cartouches depicting cottages, a castle, a raven and a harp, within oak leaf, fern and geometric patterned borders, with a hinged, gallery edged writing surface opening to six short drawers (two drawer knobs missing), above a frieze drawer housing a further writing slope, the lower section with shamrock carved columns and two doors enclosing further drawers (one drawer knob missing), platform base, brass castors, 86 x 108 x 71 cm note: signed in ink beneath the writing slope 'The property of Margaret Howatson .
