A set of four large George III sterling silver candlesticks, 1774 Sheffield, with maker's mark I T for probably Joseph Tibbitts, one unclear and one partial, wax pans variously marked (It over Ao, one marked for George Ashworth & Co), the exceptional candlesticks decorated in the neoclassical manner with fluted and knopped stems with key fret borders, ram's head and hoof feet motifs and swags, hallmarked to bases and sconces. Total weight 3539gr (variously weighted). Height 29.5 cm
