Marguerite Mahood, Victoria, shard of a rare earthenware plaque modelled in the classical taste with the face of a female in side profile wearing a headdress surmounted by a reptilian finial within an incised foliate surround incised signature and 1932 to rim incised B216 to the reverse 21 cm at widest point. Note: a similar complete example is held in the collection of the National Gallery of Australia.
