A George III sterling silver tea or hot water urn, circa 1768 London, with rubbed maker's marks, the bead edge baluster shaped urn with beaded lug handles and a Scottish type timber insert insulator to the detachable pedestal foot, an ivory spigot handle and an engraved coat of arms of the period; hallmarked to the inside of base, partial marks to lid, marks to body now absent. Total weight 1301gr. Height 40 cm
