A large impressive Empire style brass fire curb, the centre panel with pierced scrolling leaf decoration and two urn shaped finials flanked by a seated, helmeted Hellenic warriors, a male to the left, a female to the right. Width 160 cm, height 60 cm. Sold together with a pair of heavy brass fire dogs modelled as griffins, each with captured rings held in their mouths. Height 36 cm
