A Hirazukuri tanto in lacquer mounts, 19th century, the blade 'hirazukuri', with a 'choji' temper line, signed 'Yasumitsu', encased in a striped lacqeur 'saya', with an oval bronze' tsuba', textured bronze metalwork of 'fuchikashira and 'kogai' en suite, the iron 'kurikata' decorated in gilt with 'kiri', tendrils and geometric pattern, a pair of button type 'menuki' with gilt 'kiri' marks, the blade 16.5 cm long
