A W.Adams twenty four piece dinner service. Mid 19th century, in 'Fern' pattern, number 927, comprising three platters of graduating size and a meat trivet, two covered tureens, one sauce boat, eight large plates and nine medium plates in a blue transferware design of a fern bouquet, with a continuous linked trefoil pattern to the rim and gilt edging; backstamps underside and impressed marks for Tunstall. Length 47.5 cm. Width 37.5 cm. (large platter, and smaller. Diameters: 27 cm and 23 cm. (dinner plates)
