An impressive large French gilt framed overmantel mirror, the oblong glass framed by moulded fruiting laurel leaves and flanked by fluted pilasters, the cornice with a repeating scroll design and stiff leaf pattern surmounted by a pediment incorporating a small oval mirror within a beaded frame seated amongst fruiting boughs of naturalistically carved laurel leaves, the flanking pilasters surmounted by capitals which extend above the corners detailed with concave shell motifs. 242 x 176 cm
