A pair of Worcester vases, circa 1898, date marks rubbed, shape number 1970 dates from this period, of compressed bulbous form with a tall slender neck and exaggerated hoop handles joined with mascarons to the body, the whole raised on a socle with a squared base, with a handpainted floral bouquet upon a blush ivory ground with gilt highlights; with stamps underside. Height 29 cm
