Don Bradman's first test in England bat: full size 'Sykes - Don Bradman - World's Record' cricket bat, match-used by Don Bradman in the 1930 first test at Trent bridge, Bradman's first test match in England in which he scored his first test century in England. Signed on the front by England & Australian teams, 27 signatures including J.B.Hobbs, Walter Hammond, A.P.F.Chapman, Harold Larwood, bill Woodfull, bill Ponsford, Don Bradman & Clarrie Grimmett. Marked 'Don Bradman. Private' in the ownership position. Bat varnished, so superb appearance, and signatures in excellent condition. Provenance: after the match Bradman gave the bat to the Trent bridge groundsman, suitably signed by all the players, after the groundsman's death the bat was bought at auction by the Newbridge cricket club President, Jack Edwards. Edwards donated the bat to Newbridge cricket club some time in the early 1960's. Sold in 2004 to Chris Moyle. on display at the National sports Museum at the MCG 2008-2012. Sold together with a silk scorecard for the 1930 first test at Trent bridge; and letter of provenance from the Newbridge cricket club.
