Description:
Rare West Australian Colonial jarrah dining table, c.1870-1880, maker unknown, the table is a rarer, larger size, which can seat, approximately ten and up to twelve place settings, the top is constructed of two large 'Book-Matched', jarrah boards featuring a figurative and flowing grain, the legs on the base are turned tapered and bulbous, design, typical of the Victorian style, used during, the mid to late 19th century period. Note: later added castors. Height 74 cm. Top: 134 x 244 cm. Provenance: originally from the Weld club Perth, Sold c.1995 through Wells auctions
