1975 Wacker Award: Pair of goblets, engraved at base 'Melbourne Times 'Wacker Award 1975' - Alex Jesaulenko'. Believed to have been made by silversmith Steve Walsh of Buninyong. Together with bound issues of 'The Melbourne Times' from April 9 to Oct.1, 1975. [Frank 'Wacker' Strahan (1930-2003, University of Melbourne archivist), a one-eyed Blues fan, wrote the column 'On the Wing with Wacker' for the 'Melbourne Times' for 30 years, and held his annual presentation of awards until 2002. Football's most stony silence was surely Bruce Doull, but on Wacker nights, he was transformed. Once, when Wacker commandeered the microphone, Doullie grabbed it back, saying, 'I haven't finished yet', and made the longest speech anyone ever heard from him].
