A rare two page signed letter by by 'Henry Lawson', c.1890, two page autographed document as an unknown 23 year old author, requesting a job at the 'Albany Observer', which was founded 6th May 1890, together with a dossier pertaining to the history of the Henry Lawson letter, with documented, supportive notes, historical research, and newspaper, articles, etc. Henry Lawson (1867-1922) is regarded by many as the quintessential Aussie Bush Poet. His best work, is considered to be his short stories, especially his, 1896 collection, 'While the Billy Boils'
