A 'famille-rose' 'Phoenix' bowl Guangxu mark and period the rounded sides rising from a straight foot towards the flared rim, painted on the exterior in pink, yellow and green enamels of soft tone with four stylised phoenix in flight with outstretched wings, interspersed with flowering hibiscus sprays, all between gilt line borders, the interior glazed white, the base inscribed with a six-character mark in underglaze blue, 20.8 cm.
