Gustavo Alessandro Sacco Oytana (Italian 1862-1932), Portrait of Colonn. Francesco Branchinetti, signed and dated 'G.A. Sacco 91' (lower left), oil on canvase, unframed, 241 x 130 cm. Reference: G. Edoardo Mottini 'Gustavo Alessandro Sacco Oytanna' Pittore, S. Lattes & C. Editori, Torino, page 9, figure 3. 'In '86 the artist followed his family to Torre Annunziata, the official seat/residence of his stepfather. There he painted many portraits, including the very beautiful one of his stepfather. Such a frank and handsome picture, with a warlike expression/countenance, worthy of Fattori. The painting was included in an exhibition in Palermo and achieved much acclaim.'
