A late 19th century bronze figure of 'David apres le combat', Antonin Mercie (1845-1916), circa 1872, light brown and gilt patination, depicted about to sheath his sword with one foot resting on Goliath's head, signed 'A. Mercie' and inscribed 'F. Barbedienne, Fondeur, Paris' with the A. Collas Reduction seal to the base, mounted original Belgian black slate plinth, 84 cm total height, the figure 75 cm high.
