Description:
A Chinese yellow hardwood 'Drunken Lord's Chair' 'Zuiwengyi' with metal fittings. The upper section with three pierced cloud shaped panels topped with lotus shaped head rest, curved arms interlocking with the top of the back legs, grains resembling Huanghuali. Refer similar example formerly in the Museum of Classical Chinese Furniture, Renaissance, California, as illustrated on the front cover of Orientations magazine January 1992; and in the essay 'Additional Examples of Classical Chinese Furniture' by Wang Shixang in the same issue, page 42. 74 cm wide, 95 cm deep, 100 cm high
