18ct. gold case pocket watch with Inscription to R.J. Seddon Rotherhams English longtail lever. White enamel dial with Roman numerals, blue steel hands, seconds dial at the 6 o'clock. Case marked Birmingham, 1897. engraved family crest on front, inner dust lid engraved 'Presented to the right Hon R.J. Seddon P.C. L.L.D. Premier of New Zealand, in recognition of the valuable public service rendered to the liberal and labour party and the people of the colony, Wellington July 30th 1898.'. Weight 119.20g.
