An early 19th century French mantel clock, the dial surmounted by a woman in Orientalist costume, the dial with Breguet style hands, concentric line engraving, Roman numerals and floral decorated bezel. The mechanism striking on a bell and with silk suspended pendulum, the whole raised on a substantial ormolu plinth base embellished with stiff acanthus and anthenion leaves.
