A fine blue and white cylindrical bottle vase seal mark and period of Qianlong the body of gently tapered form decorated with ten gently lobed panels each enclosing alternating blooms of camelia and peony on long leafy stems vibrantly painted in underglaze blue, between leafy floret scroll bands and classic scroll band around the foot, the slightly convex sloping shoulder with a band of lappets below a formal scroll, supporting a tall cylindrical neck painted with leafy peony stems below a classic scroll around the rim, the base inscribed with a six character seal mark in underglaze blue Sotheby's Hong Kong sale HK0229, April 2006, lot 1689 a similar vase is illustrated in Suzanne G.
