An exceptional pair of African elephant tusks, circa 1952 each tusk approximately 115 cm long with a girth of 36 cm, weights 5.2 and 6.5 kgs respectively. Provenance: A Prominent Melbourne Collector, originally mounted on an ebony stand (which has now decayed) with silver plaque 'The Chief Executive of Eritrea Judiciary Branch Advocates and Pleaders of Eritrea 1952-1959'. (This plaque has been retained by the vendor)
