A Chinese pewter encased yixing teapot, the base embossed with four-character mark of Yang Pengnian, Republic, the teapot modelled in angular form, the short straight spout mounted with jade, the square arched handle further mounted with jade, the flat lid surmounted by a jade knob, the exterior incised with spotted deers on one side, and the god of longevity, shouxin, on the other. 9.4 cm high
