A George I walnut bureau cabinet early 18th century, with an arched cornice above a shaped rectangular mirrored door and fall front writing surface opening to pigeon holes and drawers, the lower section with two short drawers and three full length drawers, bracket feet, 75 x 191 x 45 cm. Provenance: Acquired Christie's London, 15th September 2005, lot 84. Note: the cabinet's mirrored 'Palladian' or 'Roman Ionic' facade relates to the work of cabinet maker Samuel Bennett (d. 1741) (C.
