A 19th century Spanish walnut vargueno, the top applied with iron mounts opening to interior fitted with multiple carved drawers and doors each ornately inlaid with bone ornamentation and gilt highlights, the lower section with four geometric carved drawers, raised on bun feet, 111 x 154 x 40. 5 cm. Provenance: de-accessioned from the collections of the National Gallery of Victoria; acquired at Sotheby's Melbourne.
