Description:
A Chinese Ming blue and white jar, 17th/ 18th century, the ample oval body well painted with a continuous pattern of lotus flower heads issuing from scrolling leafy foliage, the narrow rolled neck similarly painted. 28 cm diam 36 cm high. Provenance: private Collection New South Wales. The Collection of Lockwood de Forest and thence by direct descent.
