Provenance: In 1968 funds from the William & Margaret & Morgan Endowment funded the purchase of the Sydney collector G Gordon Russell’s collection of some 200 examples of the finest English & Continental glass for the National Gallery of Victoria in a deal negotiated by Rex Ebbott Obe appointed by the then Director Daryl Lindsay.
